Pensacola, Fla. (March 26, 2008)
Gilmore Services, Better Business Bureau of Northwest Florida and WEAR TV3 are teaming up to protect area residents from identity theft by offering free document shredding and identity theft information May 2 and 3 from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at University Mall located at 7171 North Davis Hwy, Pensacola; Santa Rosa Mall, located at 300 Mary Esther Blvd, Mary Esther; and Tallahassee, (locations and times for Tallahassee still to come).
Area residents may bring up to 50 pounds of documents to be shredded at no cost. Your Better Business Bureau will be on hand to provide information about protecting yourself from identity theft and answer questions about one of the fastest growing white-collar crimes in America.
“Now that 2007 taxes are about to be filed, many citizens are cleaning out their old records, bank statements and tax information,” said Norman Wright, President/CEO of your BBB of Northwest Florida. “This is the perfect opportunity for residents to safely dispose of old documents while learning how to protect themselves from identity theft.”
