Personnel Records Found Oustide Plano Library
PERSONNEL RECORDS FOUND OUSTIDE PLANO LIBRARY

January 3, 2011- Boxes were found containing the personnel records of a company that went bankrupt five years ago in a dumpster outside of a library in Plano, Texas. The boxes contained Social Security numbers, medical records, and other sensitive data. Local resident, Karen Cruz, went looking for boxes to help her niece with a school project and discovered the files.
When News 8 could not get the City of Plano or the waste company to remove the records they did so themselves, however, at press time it was unknown if the company’s prior owners would face any consequences as a result of their actions.
