Confidential Information Abandoned In Forgotten Hano Building
A January 5, 2010 report states that an office formerly belonging to the Housing Authority of New Orleans was found to contain abondoned records, exposing social security numbers, drivers license numbers and other sensitive data. Local officials stated that the files appeared to have been ransacked. Authorities at HANO have stated that they will look into the matter and provide credit monitoring services to those who may have been adversely impacted by the abandonment.
